Deaf people struggle to wake up to sound, so light is a viable alternative. The light must be bright enough to wake a deaf person up. In this project , the student is expected to develop a flickering flashlight and a wireless haptic wristband so that the flash light and the vibrators in the wristband will be triggered by the sound of the alarm. Conduct experiments to understand the best flickering frequency of light and frequency of vibrators.
You will be able to work with Enactus KCL on this project, and the chance to see your project be implemented with deaf people in London. As a social enterprise society, we will trial the clock, and teach deaf people how to make it to earn a sustainable income.
